The Miracle Question
This is one of the most powerful exercises in solution-focused therapy. It helps you paint a picture of the life you want โ and discover what's already possible.
"Imagine that tonight, while you are sleeping, a miracle happens. The problems that brought you here are solved. But because you were asleep, you don't know the miracle happened. When you wake up tomorrow morning โ what would be different? How would you know?"

Exception Finding
Problems are never constant. There are always times when the problem is less intense, or even absent entirely. Finding these exceptions shows you what's already working.
"When is the problem NOT happening? What's different about those times? What are you doing differently? Who is with you?"
Think of a recent time when this problem was LESS intense or not happening at all. Even a small moment counts.
